About Thorncreek

Thorncreek was designed by the firm Finger Dye Spann, Inc. and opened for play in 1992 as Thornton’s “New Championship Course.” The front nine features a variety of holes incorporating Big Dry Creek and native wetlands to create a challenge for golfers. The back nine routes through a residential area with fewer hazards but still plenty of obstacles for the golfer. The course plays to a par 72 with five sets of tees ranging from 5,046 yards to 7,201 yards.

The facility is complete with restaurant/bar, outdoor patio with tournament pavilion, 13,000 sq. ft. putting green, and full practice range. Instructors are available for both individual and group instruction.

Thorncreek is owned and operated by the City of Thornton.
